You made it—we’re halfway through the week already! Valerie here with you today with a new layout. I finally got a chance to play with the new My Colors Cardstock by My Mind’s Eye. The colors and textures are absolutely gorgeous. It cuts “like butter” in my Cameo machine too.
SUPPLIES
My Mind’s Eye My Colors canvas cardstock (Pale Blossom, Snowbound, and Atlantic Shore). My Mind’s Eye Hello World stickers and wood veneer. My Mind’s Eye Niche “Hello World” foam stickers. Other: Silhouette Cameo (font: Pea Devon Caps ), American Crafts phrase stamps, and Studio Calico Mister Huey.
Sorry, but I had to do it. It’s seems I can’t avoid white cardstock these days, but thanks to Puerto Rico’s colorful, fearless choice of building colors, I added some pink and aqua colored cardstock into the mix. The colors coordinate so well with my photos, don’t you agree?! It’s also been awhile since I’ve strayed away from square or rectangular photos. Cropping the photos to a diamond shape was a little tricky, but well worth it. Love the end result!
I added in some wood veneer embellishments from the Hello World collection and some Niche foam stickers. They add just the right amount of dimension. The wood veneer is self-adhesive. So yay! There was no fighting with the bottle of glue I usually use for wood veneer—the tip always has to be unclogged.
I highly suggest giving the new My Colors Cardstock a try if you haven’t already! And I highly recommend a trip to Puerto Rico, too! As always, thanks for stopping by and checking out our projects.
