Hello everyone! It’s Alexes here and I’m super excited to share one of my latest projects with you all! When it comes to memory keeping two of my favorite things are mini albums and interactive projects, so I decided to combine the two in a fun clipboard album using Market Street!
Supplies: Nob Hill “Framed” Paper, Nob Hill “Glimmer” Paper, Nob Hill “Glow” Foiled Paper, Nob Hill “Sparkle” Foiled Paper, Nob Hill Chipboard Elements, Nob Hill Foiled Mixed Bag, Ashbury Heights Foiled Mixed Bag, Ashbury Heights Chipboard Elements, Ashbury Heights Decorative Stickers
It was such a simple album to make, and it took hardly any time at all! Those are always my favorite kinds of projects! Being a mom to three kiddos, I’m always looking for easy and quick but beautiful projects and that’s where this album comes in!
The first thing I did was to paint my clipboard black and because I didn’t like the look of the silver hardware I decided to glitter it! I took some glossy accents, and with a paintbrush, “painted” a coat onto the hardware. Then I took my favorite gold glitter and poured it on. After dumping the excess off, I gave it a coat of clear spray paint to kind of seal the glitter in place. I love me some glitter but I don’t love when it falls off my projects over time!
The next step was to grab some scraps of leftover paper I had from another project and layer them on top of each other until I had it arranged in a way that I liked.
I had a scrap of this beautiful glitter fabric lying on my desk and I knew it would be a fun addition to this layered album. I love the texture of the glitter but also the transparency of it, leaving the layers underneath visible.
Then I added some of my favorite embellishments from this collection to each of the pages. After adding in some of my “favorite” photos I was all done! See, easy peasy!! And here is what each of the different layers looks like
and here is it all said and done! Hope you enjoyed this project and I hope it inspired you to go get creative!
