Please help us welcome our February guest designer Becky Williams!
My name is Becky Williams and I am thrilled to guest design for My Mind's Eye this month! I have been a fan since way back in the days of Wild Asparagus and it has been fun to watch the collections evolve and get better and better over the years. I am the mother of four daughters who fill my days with love and more excitement than I can sometimes handle, ha ha. I have had the privilege over the years to design for a variety of manufacturers and kit clubs and I love the way scrapping rejuvenates me and allows me some creative time amidst the craziness that is life sometimes. I love dark chocolate and Gilmore Girls re-runs, quiet mornings and traveling with my family.

Q: What is your favorite MME collection of all time? Why?
A: There are so many My Mind's Eye collections that I've loved but I will choose Cut & Paste since I have to pick a favorite. I loved the variety of color palettes in the collection that MME is so well-known for, its trendiness and the great mix of patterns. It was such a versatile collection, there was a little bit of something for everyone.
Q: What did you have the most fun working with? Why?
A: For this guest spot I had the privilege of creating with the On Trend collection. My favorite product was the Mixed Bag. In that little bag are cardstock bits, transparent pieces and gold diecuts that I love so much. I used quite a few of those things on my projects.
Supplies: On Trend-"Cool" Chipboard Stickers, "Party" Enamel Shapes
Becky says: Triangles are such a trendy shape so I decided to showcase them on this quick and easy card by mixing chipboard pieces and some enamel shapes.
Supplies: On Trend: "Happy" Happy Paper, "Happy" Sequins, "Cool" Chipboard Stickers, "Awesome" Sticker Sheets, "Awesome" Mixed Bag, "Party" Enamel Shapes, "Party" Rub-ons
Becky says:When I saw the large gold numbers I knew I'd want to use them for one of my projects. I thought they'd be fun to use on a layout with a picture of my girls. The only problem was that I have four girls, not three, so I mixed the gold number diecuts with some of cute stickers in the collection. I also added a mix of the cute embellishments (diecuts, enamel dots, rub-ons and chipboard) to dress up my page.
Supplies: On Trend "Sweet" Scroll Paper, "Sweet" Silly Paper,"Cool" Chipboard Stickers,"Party" Enamel Shapes,Twine
Becky says: I kept it simple with this altered frame and just used some patterned paper, twine, enamel dots, chipboard pieces and a little bit of spray mist.
Supplies: On Trend -"Awesome" Mini Dots Paper,"Awesome" Sticker Sheets,"Sweet" Scroll Paper, "Party" Confetti Paper, "Party" Rub-ons, "Happy" Happy Paper, "Cool" Chipboard Stickers
Becky says: For my last project I pulled out some pictures of my youngest daughter from a couple of years ago. I really like the way that black and white pictures pop with the color palette in the On Trend collection. I cut strips of patterned paper and layered them on top of the striped side of the gold dot patterned paper. I used some white doilies from my craft supply and tucked them under some of the paper strips. I used a few rub-ons and gold accents to finish off my page.
Becky- We are absolutely in LOVE with everything you created. Thank you so much for putting your heart into these beautiful projects- you really made MME shine!
