Hi all, Tonya here with you today. Well, it's June and many of you have children that will be out of school soon. That means there are a lot of vacations on the horizon. Today I have a new layout to share with you from a trip we were fortunate enough to take to Turks and Caicos over spring break.
Often times when I make a layout that features a vacation we have taken I try put an element in the design that is unique to that trip. A while ago I shared this layout with you all. As you can see I featured a wave shaped element since we spent so much time on the tropical beach.
Supplies: Now and Then-Izzy: "Boys" Smart paper, 12x12 "Dream Big" Chipboard, "Dream Big" Buttons, "Dream Big" Alpha/Tiny Words, "Boys" Brads, 'Happenings" Enamel dots, "Smile" Enamel Shapes, 6x6 Decorative Paper Pad
For the wave I used the positive cut of a design that I made with my Silhouette. I cast the negative portion of this design off to the side of my desk. Shortly afterwards it caught my eye, it was upside down and
it immediately came to my mind that it would be perfect as an iguana tail! Guess what?! I had iguana pictures from the vacation to go with it!!!
Supplies: Now and Then-Izzy: "Boys" Smart Paper, "Good Times" Journey Paper, 6x6 Decorative Paper Pad, Enamel Dots, "Good Times" 3x4 Pack, "Dream Big" 12x12 Chipboard, "Boys" Label Stickers Necessities-Teal: Decorative Tape Lime Twist: Out of the Blue "Remember" Twine Decorative Tape Set: Emerald and Blue
As you can see to convert the wave to an iguana tail I just simply turned it upside down and added some spines using decorative tape. Loving the new glitter and metallic tapes!!!
I used one of the cards from the 3x4 pack for the journaling. There's always lots of cards in those packs that are perfect for getting the who, what, when and where from a vacation jotted down.
Happy Summer!
