Hey everyone! Lea here today to share a gift set using the Necessities "Metallic" collection. I've created these little gift packages to give to two of my closest friends when we are visiting Montana in July. But they are easy to reproduce, and could be used as party favors, thank you gifts & so much more!
Inside of the decorated glassine bag is a monogram card set tied together with gold string, and a white resin frame with a 3x4 journal card from the Market Street "Nob Hill" collection in it. I thought about spray painting the frames gold, but decided against it, just in case my friends wanted to put them up in their homes. White matches with a lot more than gold does. :)
I made the card sets first, so the embossed monogram "M" on each card front would have time to set before tying them together with the string. I used pre-cut/scored white card bases and trimmed 8 sheets (2 of each pattern) of 6x6 paper from the Metallics collection. I then adhered all of the paper blocks to the card fronts. After that I stamped the M on each card front, covered in glitter gold embossing powder & heat set. I set those aside to let them cool down.
To decorate the front of the glassine bags, I cut two blocks of gold dotted vellum and adhere them directly to the front. I adhere a gold doily & gold "M" together for each bag, then accented the M's with metal hearts. I covered two mini clothespins with gold washi tape, then clipped the doily accents on to the front with them. To finish decorating the bags, I just added a couple of friendship word stickers to the bottom of each one.
By this time the cards had cooled, and I stacked them with their matching envelopes and tied gold string around the middle of them. I then slid the card set & resin frame into the bag to finish. They are all ready for our trip home to Montana, and I just know my friends are going to love them!
