I love the green & red & yellow in the "Nob Hill" collection...but mostly I love the black & gold. I don't know why, but those two classic & elegant colors just gave this project the masculine feel it needed. (The deer head & mustaches helped a bit too!) I also added just a touch of woodgrain here & there.
To create the card I cut an A2 card from green cardstock, then layered a block of mustache paper to it. I adhered a strip of woodgrain paper to the middle of the black & gold dotted paper, then diecut a circle from it. After adhering the paper block to the card front using foam adhesive, I added the flair & diecuts to the front. I finished off the sentiment using woodgrain alphas in the lower right corner, then accented it with a wooden arrow & enamel dots to finish it.
To create the gift card holder, I diecut an envelope template from vellum & assembled it. I cut a block of scalloped paper to line the inside of it. I wrapped the celebrate sticker around the top of it, then threaded the chipboard banner with metallic twine. I tied a double bow from the twine, then adhered the entire embellishment to the front. I then added the shiny gold diecut circles randomly to it, trimming the excess from the edges as needed. I topped the twine bow with a brad to finish! It's now ready to add a gift card to your dad's favorite store, restaurant or coffee shop!
My Mind's Eye has got you covered when it comes to creating something special for all the fathers and father figures in your life!! I hope that you enjoyed my "Nob Hill" gift set today. Have a great day!
