Hey everyone! This is Shelly with some Project Life inspiration. I guess I was just in the Christmas spirit, so I decided to document our Christmas tree fun this year. I have really fallen for the Mistletoe Magic Collection. Those playful patterns along with that bold red; how could one not swoon for it?!
Supplies: Mistletoe Magic: “Ornaments” patterned paper, “Trees” patterned paper, 6x6 designer paper pad, enamel dots, chipboard elements, sticker accessory sheet; Cut & Paste-Flair : Presents pattern paper; Other: Becky Higgins Design G page protectors, typewriter, and corner rounder.
I kept things very simple still, but wanted to add in a little embellishment here and there. The sticker sheet really called to me this time around. I created a title card with one of the labels and then decided it needed a little extra something, so I added in a few of the snowflakes. It was actually snowing while we were picking out our tree, so it was the perfect touch.
I also made my own 3x4 journal card from the 6x6 pattern paper. My kids really do talk non-stop, so I wanted to add in a personal touch from them with a couple of quotes from each. I will have them sign under their quote once they get home from school. The morning was crazy, so I didn’t get to show them what I was working on yet!
The “Today” card comes from the Cut & Paste Flair collection. I was drawn to the chalk look again with this bright fun collection, and adding one of the chipboard trees completed the look for me.
For the story, I used the same ledger paper from the 6x6 paper pad that I used on the other side, but also added in a couple of stickers to create a small banner. Those ornaments are just too cute and simply perfect for a “decorating the tree” page.
I love that project life documenting doesn’t have to be just about the everyday, but can also be an easy way to document a fun memorable event. The layout is done for you. All you have to do is slide in your pictures and a few fun pieces of paper to be creative. It was nice not to have to use an ounce of adhesive. Those stickers do the work for you.
I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by the blog today!
