One of the best scrapbooking releases from the past two years is decorative tape. It is so versatile! Yesterday on Good Things Utah, I demonstrated this cute, beautiful Christmas décor and gifts using My Mind’s Eye decorative tape.
Aren’t these patterns to die for!?
Look how awesome the Vintage Christmas decorative tape looks on the large “25”.
I picked the “25” up at a local wood craft store called Wood Connection. They are available online and at other craft stores for those of you who aren’t able to visit my local craft store. I decided to keep the “25” natural. You could paint it white or another light color. (dark colors will not allow the colors of the tape to show through as well)
This project used almost an entire package of tape. These numbers are LARGE (15”), smaller numbers will use less tape.
Because I was applying the tape on a wood product instead of paper, it curled a little on the edges, so I put a thin coat of glittered mod podge on top and that solved that! I also found that in a few places, I had to add a little dab of liquid glue to hold down the edge.

I hope you like these projects as much as I do! Warning: Decorative tape is highly addicting. Side affects may include: beautiful projects and a great time. Use only when necessary (in my case, as often as possible)
Happy Holidays! Have a fantastic weekend!
