Hey
there, MME fans! This is Missy and I'm so very excited to be here today.
I love creating layouts, but every once in a while
it’s nice to change things up and make something different. I was
thrilled to be able to
create some tags for you today. I decided to create three tags and put
them together to form a piece of wall art for my daughter’s room. I
used a mix of MME products, but the papers are from the Kate & Co.
Cambridge Court line.
Supplies:Kate & Co. “Cambridge Court” Striking Paper,
Bright Florals Paper, Stripes Paper, Mini Flowers Paper, Lovely Day
Paper, Bouquet Paper, Chalk Studio Sticker Labels, Chipboard Elements,
Layered Stickers, Decorative Tapes, Decorative Alphabet,
Decorative Tapes sets – Coral & Aqua, Blue & Yellow, Pink &
Yellow, Find Your Wings & Fly Alpha and Word Stickers, Decorative
Stamps, Collectable Decorative Tape, Stamps, The Sweetest Thing Honey
“Love” Stickers, “Perfect” Chipboard Elements, Round Brads,
Honey “One of a Kind” Label Stickers, Follow Your Heart Decorative
Buttons; Misc.—modeling paste, Crafter’s Workshop template, gesso,
flower punch, buttons.
I
love the pinks, yellows and blues in this line, and the papers were
perfect for my daughter's room. I also knew I wanted her name on it, and I wanted
it to overlap from the
first tag to the next. I used a template and modeling paste to create
some texture, and then I added some decorative tape. The Chalk Studio
sticker labels were perfect for this and gave it the pops of black I
wanted.
I
wanted to echo the template and paste on the next tag, but I wanted it
to be a different paper and pattern with different embellishments. On
this one, I used more
decorative tape and some of the fun pieces from Chalk Studio.
For
the third tag, I pulled out my stash of goodies from The Sweetest Thing
collection and found that large black and white doily flower. It coordinates
perfectly with
the Stripes paper. Once again, I added the template and paste,
decorative tape and buttons. I love how each tag is different yet flows
together to create one fun design.
Here are a few close-ups. You can really see the dimension from the Chalk Studio chipboard elements here.
Decorative tape is so fun and easy to use…here you can see how it adds the perfect touch to the tags.
This
chipboard button comes from the Find Your Wings and Fly collection! I
love how so many of the MME collections work together. Those Chalk
Studio Decorative Alphabet
stickers are so much fun, especially if you want to use them for an
initial like I did here.
These fun stickers made it easy to connect my tags together.
What’s a project without chipboard? I love this piece from Chalk Studio. It’s perfect for this type of undertaking.
And
here is the entire project framed. Tags are a fun and quick way to
create a nice piece for your wall or shelf. And you can even add photos
if you wish. I love
personalizing things in our home, and this will be a great addition.
I hope this inspires you to create a series of tags for your home!
