Hi everyone,
This is Karen with another Mixed Media page. I fell in love with the jars in the Cut and Paste line as soon as I saw them, so I knew that I wanted to use them right away. For this month's page, I lined them up
against the bottom of my journal page and added a few clouds on top. I then added some of the speech bubbles and spelled out my title.
It says: choose to love to be you as you are.
Once I had all the pieces adhered, I just went to town with my paint. I painted all over the edges, then on the jars, and finally I painted the clouds a white-ish blue-ish color. I love how the bright paint adds
another layer and lights up the page that much more.
Here's a closeup look at the top with the clouds I painted over:
and one of the bottom with all the crazy paint all over the lovely jars:
This is in my gratitude journal so throughout the week, I will be writing things I am grateful for that day and adding text to the page. What I love is that since this page makes me so happy, each time I come
back to visit it throughout the week, I get another little dose of the joy the colors and jars bring me. There's nothing like getting to experience the gift of happy art again and again.
Thank you for letting me share my page, I'd love to see some of your happy mixed media pages this month, so I hope you link me up in the comments!
