We are so glad you stopped by today, it's Pinspiration Friday!
Every
day, we scour the Internet for inspiring MME projects. We find your
work on your blogs, through our FB page, and in online galleries. We pin
the ones that inspire us most!
Then once a month we challenge our designers to use one of your creations as inspiration for a layout or card.
This month Danni and Laurel are joining us. Here's what they came up with. Enjoy and have a lovely, creative day!
First is Laurel. We just know you'll love what she came up with.
Inspiration Piece: Sherri Funk
Laurel's Interpretation:
Supplies: Cut and Paste-Charm:6 X 6 pad; Tiny Word Stickers; Bits & Pieces; Label Stickers
Laurel says: I was really drawn to all of the stitched circles on the layout. I love how Sherri used the colored thread; as I usually stick to white. The simple design of the layout really spoke to me and I decided to create a card based loosely on the sketch of her layout along with incorporating some stitched circles. I even went so far as to use colored thread! Thanks for the inspiration Sherri!
For my card I used the Cut & Paste charm collection. I punched circles from various pattern papers, adhered them and stitched. I then created and cut the circle panel using my Silhouette and mounted it with foam tape. I then added the banner from the Bits & Pieces, added a sticker sentiment and finally cut the word ‘be’ with my Silhouette. I am very happy with how this turned out!
Up next is the ever fabulous Danni!
Inspiration Piece: Lucy Abrams
Danni's Interpretation:
Danni says:I love every last detail of Lucy's gorgeous card, and wanted to stay pretty true to the femininity of her card design using the new MME Cut and Paste Presh line. I loved the gorgeous doily focal and wanted to create a floral to re-create the beautiful elegance to her card. I cut a flower using my Silhouette cut files and pieced it together. Stitching the leaves added a little extra texture and femininity.
I love the overall design of the card so I stayed pretty true, stitching a block of patterned paper and adhering some additional bling and fun die-cut sentiment.
