More All is Bright

For the past few days we've shown you how All is Bright is just right for all of your holiday needs. Today we are going to share how All isBright is also perfect for your winter and holiday layouts and cards.

Danni and Shelly are here to show you some projects usint this beautiful holiday line.

Shelly says:I just love the neutrals of the All is Bright collection with that pop of red and blue. That soft kraft is just perfection. We all know that this collection is perfect for your holiday pages, but that soft blue works awesome for winter pages too.

I started with the kraft chevron paper as my base. Since this was a page for my daughter’s album, I really wanted to add a touch of pink to it. I pulled out my trusty scissors and trimmed down the line of one of the chevrons and placed the lovely lacey pink paper from The Sweetest Thing collection behind it. Then, I added a little more definition to it by zigzag stitching using my sewing machine.

I am not much of a hexagon user, but they just seemed to be calling my name for this page. To add a touch of winter to them, I embellished them with some snowflakes and gems.

Something kept drawing me into the “Joy” piece from the chipboard set. Even though it was a Christmas “Joy,” I was drawn to the little snowflakes and frost-like designs around the word. This was perfect for my winter theme. My first intension was to use it with my title as “Winter Joy,” but after putting my page together, I found it the perfect embellishment for that empty top left corner of the page.

With so much already happening on this page, I decided to do hidden journaling. I put my journaling on a tag, and then tie it to the top of the page with twine. It is easy to pull out and slide back in when needed.

 

Christmas Cards with Danni

Danni says:I have shared with you how much I love this collection with all the colors, the many embellishments and designs but the thing I love the most are the most amazing stamps!  I have not shared a lot of  stamping projects here yet because I am in the middle of a move (during Thanksgiving and Christmas) and selling/buying houses and well, that left my GORGEOUS stamps untouched.....until now.  While I am still in the long process of moving, I HAD to share how gorgeous these stamps are.

On my first card, Merry Christmas, I used the bird stamp and added all kinds of Martha Stewart Glitter and well, I may not even send this one out, that bird has stolen my heart.  The image stamped crisply and oh so beautifully!  I love that you can also use any/all of this line to create "winter" cards if you do not personally celebrate Christmas or are sending cards to others who do not celebrate Christmas.

Adding glitter to the snowflake added "sparkle" to an already gorgeous image.  I chose to add some stitching around the snowflake to draw the eye to the bird.  I then decided adding some of the banners would add splashes of patterns and colors.  I glittered the chipboard banner piece to draw your eye to the fact that it was chipboard, I loved the result and I will definitely do that again.

The buttons that come in this line are the perfect finishing embellishment for the cards and projects alike.  I can not tell you how much I love the varying sizes, colors and yes, even patterns...beautiful!

In my next card, Joyeux Noel, I wanted to make the sentiment the focal of the card while still adding a touch of "winter" and santa.  I chose a patterned paper that would allow the sentiment to be showcased at the bottom of the card, uncluttered, while I focused on the "scene" at the top of the card.  Cutting the elements from the various patterns in the papers is so much fun because it adds so much more to the line.

I added a bunch of glitter to my snowflake die-cut and it added sparkle to the card and drew your eyes downward.

On my Merry, Merry card, I chose to highlight the various buttons because I love them so.  I love the little Santa image and wanted the colors in the button to draw attention to him.  You could certainly substitute stamps for the sentiment die-cuts that are stitched along the bottom, I had them cut so I decided to use them, but stamped tags would be oh so beautiful.

I love this line so much, from buttons, to chipboard, to stickers, it makes creating so easy and the finished result...gorgeous!

On my Joy card, I chose to use the little stars in the stamp set to create a tag to adhere my washi-taped snowflake.   The patterns and styles in the washi tape work perfectly with the stamps, they are colors most of us have in our ink stash and they are so beautiful paired with the gorgeous stars in this stamp set.
