Introducing Our October Guest Designer!

Please help extend a warm welcome to Laurel Seabrook! Laurel is our October guest designer. :)

We noticed we were pinning many of Laurel's projects. She caught our eye by loving MME and consistently sharing beautiful projects on our Facebook page. We are so glad she is hanging out with us this month!

Here's a little bit about Laurel:

Laurel Seabrook lives in Canada with her family.  She started scrapbooking 13 years ago although she has been scrapbooking in some way or another all of her life.  Laurel describes her style as clean and simple with added bits of layering and doo dads. You can see Laurel's work in Paper Crafts magazine. She is also on the Pebbles and Jillibean Soup design teams.

Q:What did you have the most fun working with?

A: I had the most fun working with the The Sweetest Thing Honey collection this time as I love the colors and patterns in it.  That bold flower paper is just gorgeous.

 

Q:What is your all time favorite MME collection? 

A:It is a tough choice as to my all time favorite MME... I have two that I really loved On the Bright Side and Follow Your Heart.  I found both of these so easy and fun to work with and if I have to pick one I would have to say Follow Your Heart Be Amazing would be it.  I really loved it and I had a few of my projects picked up for publication with it!

Laurel says:I am really loving the negative die cut trend right now so I like to incorporate them when I can.  I have used it as part of my title and for a little butterfly die cut at the top. I LOVE the bold flower paper in this collection it is so beautiful.  

Christmas card

Supplies:Winter Wonderland: Christmas Trees patterned paper,Stripes patterned paper,layered stickers;Misc:snowflake punch,ribbon,adhesives

 

Laurel says:I love making my Christmas cards ahead of time as the month of December is busy enough as it is I just want to be able to mail the cards not make them too!  I created this card so easily as the colors and patterns of the Winter Wonderland collection are just so fun and happy!

As a finishing touch I tied on some ribbon and added a dimensional sticker!

Laurel says:I love the doodle feel to some of the papers in this collection, they just add a bit of fun to the collection. 

I used another negative die cut title, punched some of the edges with a notebook style punch and fussy cut some of the flowers from the patterned paper to add as embellishments.I am kind of sad that my oldest daughter is in grade 12 this year... she may leave us for university or college next fall... where has the time gone?!
