Hi, Everyone! Jana Eubank here with a scrapbook page about my daughter. For this page I decided to mix together three different My Mind's Eye collections. I love the result! Here is what I did.
For this page, I decided to place my photos and embellishments in a grid design. The first collection I decided to use was the Love Me Collection. I placed my photos first and then cut rectangles of patterned papers to go in the surrounding areas of my grid. Next, I adhered everything to a cream cardstock base.
Next, I decided to fill in the rectangles with my title, journaling and embellishments. I loved the font of the word "love" on Love Me "Love" Paper and decided to use my scissors to cut them out and use them as my title. I then used the elements from the accessory sheet along with some hand cut doilies (from the patterned and 6" x 6" paper pad). The hearts were also cut from the "Love" paper.
Now that I had my general design decided, I needed to place it on a 12 x 12 sheet of paper. I decided to use the "Favorite" Party Paper from the Lost & Found Two Blush collection. I liked how the tan color tied in with the Love Me collection and the romantic feeling it gave the page with it's soft damask pattern.
But my page still needed a little bit more. I decided to mat the photo grid onto a sheet of Kraft Fun Day Everyday Fun "Remember This" Paper. The bold diagonal grid really calls attention to my photo grouping and makes it the focus of the page. I also added in a border strip to the top of the page, as well as some Kraft Fun Day Everyday Fun Decorative Brads for a little sparkle and dimension.
I love how well these three collections came together!
See you next time!
