It is the most wonderful time of year, and one of my favorite items to create are Christmas tags! They are simple to make, and you can add as little or as many details as you like. Tags also are a great way to personalize your Christmas gifts. They also add your homemade signature, and make your gift recipients feel extra special. I love sharing my love for this craft, and making something with my hands simply makes me happy! Of course, it makes the package look extra "special" too!
I chose to create the following ensemble of tags with My Mind's Eye, I Believe Collection. I decided to keep the color scheme the same throughout, so I used the coordinating embellishments. I added a few holiday touches such as the jingle bells, tiny holiday sprigs, and tiny doilies. I also pulled in the tinsel garland from the Lost & Found Collection, along with the gems from the Lush Collection. My plan is to continue to fill this tray full of tag goodness, so as I wrap gifts, my tags are accessible. It seems, I am always wrapping those "last minute" gifts! I also plan on packaging some of my tags, and giving them to girlfriends at our annual Christmas Party!
Bird Tag:
With this tag, I used a tiny white paper sack to tuck my tag inside. I added an extra detail to the bag, by using an embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment using the I believe stamp set. I adhered the sweet bird on top of a silver sprig.
Pine Cone tag:
This tag came together by accident. I did not like the finished tag, so I started rolling it. It started to resemble the paper Cones I created at Thanksgiving time. I instantly fell in love with this tiny cone. It is perfect to tuck inside a chocolate, and hang from a gift box. I will be making more of this sweet cones! Fabulous as tags, but also great as treat favors!!!!
Snowflake Tags:
I used a snowflake diecut, and sprinkled the top with tinsel glitter. The pleated flower was created from the Trees paper, and the sentiment is from the Holly Jolly Collection.
I hope this tray of tags gives you ideas for your own tiny creations! Tags do not take too much time at all, and they are a fantastic way to use up all the scraps of My Mind's Eye Paper you have in your collection!
