What!? A bonus day!? That's right! We are giving you a bonus day - we'll call it the:
"12 Days of Christmas Half Time Extravaganza!"
For our half time extravaganza, we are sharing a bonus prize by Suzanne Sergi, a prize - of course and our November Top Tens! We hope you are ready for this!
I do love crafting during the Christmas season. The days do seem shorter, but I love spending a few hours each day papercrafting, and baking sweet homemade treats. I do enjoy creating scrapbook pages, tags, cards, and sweet packaging. However, as I was creating the above Christmas decor. I realize I truly find joy in creating projects for the Home. Even though we are in a busy season, I am thankful to have these beautiful, tiny canvases filled with all things sparkly of the season.
I chose the Holly Jolly Collection for my home decor.I started with 4x4 canvas blocks. They were the perfect size! I decided to spell out the word, "Christmas." As I was deciding what style of letter I would use, I was happy when I saw the word already written on the Holly Jolly Chipboard Element Sheet! How lucky was I??
This project came together beautifully. In a few hours, I was no longer staring at blank canvases. When I create home decor projects, I do tend to use all the elements of a collection. It makes designing so easy, because everything has been coordinated with one another. With a few glittery holiday additions, the canvases were adorned, ready to be enjoyed until Christmas!
Here are a few details of the tiny canvases:
I have included a PDF with instructions on how I created these tiny canvases. Please let me know if you have any questions. Download Suzanne_Holly Jolly Christmas Canvas Blocks
I hope you have enjoyed my project for the Home, and hoping it inspires your own home decor projects!
Wishing you a holiday that is merry, bright, and filled with sparkly things!
Our November Top Tens:
Anam Stubbington:
“The things i love about the snow are too many and yet so few – memories and hopes, love and loss – a chance to start again.”
It means the start of the countdown to Christmas. It means a clean slate for all.It means relief from the heat of summer. It means comfy clothes. It means comfort food.It means an excuse to be a homebody. It means a reason to slow down and relax. It reminds me of a time in my childhood that was a happy day.It reminds me that struggles will melt eventually. It means I can start again.
Trisha Ladouceur: November
Using several of the red and black LUSH papers, I created another quick and easy page in my Top Ten Album. I LOVE the texture the flocked papers give these layouts and so I layered a couple for the matte around my journal box. I also cut out the bird, flower and one of the damask patterns to accent the page. Adding in a few bits of the self adhesive rhinestones, I was able to add the perfect amount of bling to dress up this page even more.
Jana Eubank:
I was shocked at myself when I opened up my November Picture Folder on my computer and realized that I hardly took ANY pictures in November. What was I thinking?! I am a scrapbooker after all. :) My son happened to snap this shot of me cooking on Thanksgiving Day using my iPhone so I decided to use that for my November Top 10 page and record our ten favorite Thanksgiving dishes. I kept the picture small because the quality of the image file isn't very good. I also printed multiples of the same shot to help fill the page. To anchor my title I layered together several die cuts and cut my own banner from patterned paper. Featured Collection: So Sophie Graceful Collection
