As we bid farewell to the Halloween season, our Design Team members would like to share with you some of the fun they had on the big day.

Halloween is not highly celebrated here in the Philippines but you can still see Halloween displays on malls and other establishments. For this layout, I used a photo of a mummy that we saw in the mall. It was very well made and looks so eerie.
The 2 new Halloween lines from MME are uniquely beautiful and spooky in its own way. The Haunted line has the classic Halloween look while the Blackbird line plays with color and cute illustrations. I was torn because I like them both so following my design aesthetics, I incorporated both lines on one layout. With the classic black and Kraft look, I added a pinch of color (orange) to make my design bolder.
THE LOOT by Jana Eubank

The Blackbird collection was the perfect choice to use for this page capturing our little monsters in action. You see, in our household Halloween isn't necessarily about the candy you collect trick-or-treating . . . it's much more about the trading and bartering power it gives you with your siblings AFTER Halloween. I have to laugh, because my brother and I used to do this very same thing growing up. Ahhhh! Traditions! :)

Extra bits: I sanded the lush alphabet to tone it down and give it some grunge.
Halloween Night by Trisha Ladouceur

Having just moved into our new house we had not idea of what to expect as far as the numbers of trick or treaters that would be out. My new neighbours made sure to warn me of the insane number of kids to prepare for. I ran to Wal-Mart and bought enough for at least another 300 kids. Well, the weather was unseasonably warm and that brought out the masses in record numbers... 652 kids came to my door! You read right... six hundred and fifty two! I knew that when I had gone through 300 mini bags of Doritos in less than an hour I was going to be in big trouble. By then end of the night, I was handing out individual gumballs and caramels... apologizing profusely! Next year, I will have to be better prepared (who would have expected that though...really?! Last year was only 450 so I thought I was ok with the treats I had to give out). After only 1hour and 45 minutes I had to shut my door and turn off the lights! Thankfully there was a fireworks display in our new neighbourhood so most trick or treaters were done for the night anyways as we all headed over to watch the display. Pretty amazing experience that is for sure! And although I got so busy I forgot to take pics of my kids, I can tell you that I felt like the die cut lady on this layout!
Pumpkin Art by Tamara Jensen

I love both of the new MME Halloween lines – the subtle Black, White, and Kraft of “Haunted” and the Bright colors of “Blackbird”. I thought it would be fun to mix them together for this layout. The flocked elements: Paper, Lush Chipboard letters, and Bat sticker add great dimension and texture to the page. The fun brads are the perfect finishing accent! This was the first year my children carved pumpkins all by themselves (Hooray – I didn’t have to scrape the inside of one slimy pumpkin). It was fun to see what they created. Of course my son carved the logo for his football team – just before he left for his game, my 14 year old made a very fashionable pumpkin complete with eyelashes, blush, and lipstick (and painted an adorable pink pig pumpkin), and my two youngest carved some adorable ghosts.

Hidden journaling reads:
The only thing Cad Bane, the notorious Bounty Hunter, is afraid of is having his picture taken and with that his true identity revealed. Thanks to this persistent photographer, we now know that the Bounty Hunter who answers to no one is really a handsome young boy!
Neal was so funny during he school parade. He held his hand up to cover his face and thought he ruined the pictures. Not so, young Bounty Hunter. What you did is give me a great story and, eventually, a great smile!
