Hi, I'm Karen Grunberg. I am so completely awe-struck and overjoyed to be here with the My Mind's Eye team for the month!! I have no idea how I got to be so so lucky.
I live in Northern California with my husband, Jake, and our two kids David (5.5) and Nathaniel (15mo.) I am incredibly happy to be working from home so I get to spend my moments with our two kids while working as a Technical Program Manager for Google on one of my favorite products, Google Chrome. Besides scrapbooking as often as I can, I also like to read, take family photos (http://www.greenhillphotography.com), and learn new crafts. And I love to teach, especially about journaling. My new Big Picture Scrapbooking class starts on September 9 (http://www.bigpicturescrapbooking.com/stories.php)
I started scrapbooking right before my older son was born, about five years ago. I went through different phases over the years but it wasn't until this past May that I finally felt like I found my personal happy place with scrapping. I now love sitting at my table, looking through recent photos, coupling them with our stories and then dipping into my favorite products so I can have some fun.
I've also recently discovered my love of color. I almost always use 12x12 white cardstock for my backgrounds so colorful products pop right off the page and make me happy. This is one of the reasons I love My Mind's Eye so much. Their lines often have bright colors that complement my two boys and their adventures perfectly.
Here are some recent My Mind's Eye layouts I've done that show you how bright and happy their papers are. How can you not love these papers?
September is my birthday month and what better birthday present could I have than getting to play with the awesome My Mind's Eye products? You can find me here all month-long and also I hope you come visit me on my blog http://www.karenika.com.
And a huge thanks to My Mind's Eye for having me here!
