Anam’s little girl is growing up so fast. She documented all the new words she learned in May (what a treasure).
I don't know about you, but our May was filled to the brim with all kinds of end-of-year school activities and family happenings. I used the FREE Download of the My Mind's Eye Top 10 Numbers (Click here to download) to label each of my photos. The journaling card's lines were already numbered, so I used the corresponding spaces to list the description of each photo. How easy is that?! :) Page created using the My Mind's Eye So Sophie Savvy collection.
Kept in simple AGAIN!!! Whooooo hoooooooo! I love that I can do this with this album:) This time I created a pocket in which I could insert a few tags that hold the journaling about our mad month of May. It was a crazy month, everything from snow at the beginning and end of the month, my son breaking his foot in 3 places while I was on a trip to Arizona and and emergency tooth extraction for me (EEEEK!). I hope June is a bit better of a month! But it was funny to document all the crazy happenings in one month that occurred with our family!
There is so much that I have to say about this trip that I couldn't possibly fit onto just one page. So my solution was to make a pocket page. I put my favorite picture on the front, a couple of key pictures and phrases on the back and the rest goes into the pocket. All of the elements on the page are taken from the pages and book that I taught in my classes. That way when I see these pages I am immediately reminded of all the fun that I had while teaching.
I could easily have added another 10 to our top ten this month it was such a busy month. Neal had three field trips and two “field days” in the last 12 days of school. It’s a good thing that he’s a good boy and earns all the extra activities.
I am the opposite of Trisha. I would love to do an all picture album. I have a hard time putting my feelings and emotions into words. I can’t describe joy, but I can SEE it in my photos. But, I know that without journaling, my memory will fail me and one day I won’t know what kept us busy. So, like Tiffani and Trisha, I hid my journaling on a So Sophie tag behind my photos.
We would LOVE to see what you are doing with your monthly Top Tens. Leave a link to yours as a comment on this blog post. We will feature one of your Top Tens with ours next month!
