A little bit about me: I have a wonderful family - a handsome husband, two sons, and two daughters. They keep me very busy and are patient (sometimes) with their trigger happy camera-toting mother. I am so excited to have a new camera – after my Canon Rebel decided to take a swim in the ocean on our vacation last November :o). I love to cook and experiment with new recipes, garden, read, and take walks in the sunshine.
I am so delighted to be the March Guest Designer for My Mind’s Eye! I have LOVED using their wonderful products for years. I have to admit that I am a MME Junkie and hopelessly addicted! Just when I think they can’t top themselves again – they come out with another incredible collection (and I have an irresistible urge to own it all!).
My all-time favorite lines have to include: the elegant and timeless “ Bohemia ”,
the fabulous and glittered “ Laundry line ”,
the fun and whimsical “ Penny Lane ”,
the summery and fresh “ Breaking Free ”,
and all of their “ holiday collections ”.
I am amazed at how perfectly coordinated and innovative their product lines are – with journaling spots, die cut titles, fabulous rub-ons, transparencies, chipboard, brads, etc. I am absolutely crazy about the new MME “Lush” Collection. Their flocked papers, alphabets, and albums are so beautiful! I especially love their rhinestones strips, epoxy and rhinestone brads, and delicious ribbons.
I have been scrapbooking since my first child was born, over 13 years ago. It has been so fun to see scrapbooking evolve and change over the years. Gone are the days of using decorative scissors on photos and designs have given way to a cleaner, timeless look. I have been designing professionally for 7 years and taught for 6. I love the creative process of scrapbooking: taking photos of the people I love, adding papers, colors, textures, embellishments, and topping it off with journaling to capture the essence of our lives. I find that scrapbooking helps me recognize and capture precious feelings that I have for my family. It is also rewarding to have something tangible to show after a few hours of work, that can’t be undone (unlike my daily dishes and laundry).
I’m looking forward to sharing some more fun projects with you this month!
