It’s here!
We are inviting you to join us on a year-long journey! It seems that 10 is the number of the year around here.
2010 (obviously)
It’s our 10th anniversary (Yeah – us!)
Every Month we will be remembering our own personal “Top Ten” as we build our “Top tens of 2010”!
Our Design Team invites YOU to join us!
During the month of January you are going to design your cover and album. The first week of each month, beginning in February, you are going to document your own personal “top ten” for the previous month. It can be anything you’d like:
- top ten adventures
- top ten funny things that were said
- top ten hopes
- top ten foods
- … anything!
Here is what we came up with. As you can see, they are as different as we are!
Tiffani Smith: To make my album I die cut chipboard with an Accucut album die set.
I plan to leave my book out for our family to look at, with six kids handling it, it needed to be something durable. I used the biggest rings I could find so that I can add lots of pages in between the monthly sections. I hope its a nice fat book by the end of the year!
I have used several different paper collections. I want it to be a fun hodge podge of paper. I used the brads from abbey road for the cover. I thought they added some nice dimension but still kept everything flat and touchable.
I decided to keep the cover clean and graphic and will keep that style for the entire book to keep the focus on the pictures and journaling and also to make it easy to keep up on.
Anam Stubbington: I made my album with a chipboard Album and used everything in my “spare bits” pile – all the ½ sheets, die cut and chipboard shapes that were left over from other projects. This album is a great way to use up those extra pieces in a positive way.
My album is divided into sections – 1 divider per person – and each month i will add a sheet to each with everyone’s top ten things from each month so by the end of the year, we’ll have a year’s worth of awesome memories to remind us how much 2010 rocked!! (also very good prompts for doing layouts afterwards)
My inserts are 6.5” tall x 3.5” wide – you can download my January/February/March inserts here – cut on the line grey line – the blank space is for you to have room to add your hole punches.
Amber Packer: My album is made from an old catalog. It is made from thick chipboard and has fabric on the spine. When you open it up, you see it’s a six ring album. Easy to add or remove pages. I’m looking at Tiffani’s super huge rings and realizing that I may have to switch my album if it gets too thick – it’s only 2”! Is that really enough to hold an entire year’s worth of memories?
Our fabulous designer, Jen Allyson Nugent, has designed this fabulous number sheet for your personal use! You can download it HERE.
As you finish your cover, please add a link to it in a comment on this blog post. We are excited to see what you come up with!
