CHA – What a blast!

WOW!

The creative energy and excitement in the convention center was so thick it seems like you could touch it.

It was so much fun seeing those of you who visited our booth at CHA this last week!  We were constantly busy showing off our new collections and talking with you – our friends.

Personally, I absolutely enjoyed the time I spent at the make and take table and the class I taught!

For those of you who weren’t able to visit us at CHA, we have created a short slide show to share.

Weren’t our samples spectacular?  We’d like to give a special thanks to the six designers who created them:

Anam Stubbington, Tiffani Smith, Trisha Ladouceur, Jana Eubank, Tamara Jensen and Amber Packer

The originals are packed safely in our crates and are on their way to our warehouse including the FOUR beautiful albums our designers created (not shown).  When they come in, we will take better photos to add to our photo albums.  We also have our designers working hard to come up with instructions for a few of them as well.

All our new collections will begin shipping February 1 (that’s Monday)!  They will be arriving at your favorite scrapbooking store within the next few weeks.

An Everyday Love

I wanted to create something I could give Ian to let him how I feel about our Everyday Love.

I love the Life Stories papers because of the muted tones, which make colour photographs POP. 

I also love the fact that you can use the reverse side of the papers.  I did up all my journaling in word and then printed them out on the reverse side of one of the sheets and instantly you have perfectly matching journal spots.

It won't be long....

and Valentine's Day will be here!  I am trying to be prepared ahead of the game this year.  I have three children in elementary school which means I have about a hundred Valentines to prepare just for their teachers and classmates!  I could just buy boxed Valentines from the store but my kids really love passing out handmade cards.  Who am I to argue?   To make sure I don't end up staying up late frantically making cards at the last minute I am going to do a few at a time over the next couple of weeks. 

I started with these "Fair Ribbons"  for each of their teachers.  I wanted to do something fun and different and this is what I came up with. 

  
 
 
All papers are from the Love Me Do collection.  I wanted something bright and cheery and these papers were just the thing! 

I used two strips of 2 1/2" wide by 12" long paper accordion folded at 1/2" intervals to make the pleated circle.  I used a Scor-pal for this step.  It saves a ton of time!  I used Scor-tape to adhere the ends and then pressed the edges of one side together to form the circle.  To make the tails I cut two 2" x 7" strips and "V" notched the ends.  The hearts are made with punches from Marvy Uchida.  Finished size is 5"x9".

Frame-ups! winner: Dawn!

OMG I loved these when they came out! I loved how everything coordinated and loved the ease of embellishing the page. There are pages that were planned around the frame-ups! When I heard they were going to stop making them I bought pretty much everything that I could and still have some today! I loved these!!! Happy 10th Anniversary....wow these bring back great memories of my start into the world of scrapbooking!
