Since we are celebrating a happy day, I could not resist adding some party trim underneath both of the embellishments.

Happy Friday friends! This is Suzanne and I am here to share a very special mini album with you.
This mini album was going in a different direction when I first sat down to create. After looking at a few of the photos of my children, I decided to create a mini reflecting how lucky I am to be their mother.
I included pictures of them today, and journaling pockets detailing their personal traits.
I used the Follow Your Heart Collection designed by Rhonna Farrer. I fell in love with this collection the first time I saw it. The patterns are modern, and the graphics are gorgeous.I decided to combine both of her collections, Be Happy & Follow Your Heart.
I did noticed that a certain someone does not always appear in front of the camera. It seems I am the one always behind the lens. This definitely made me more aware that I need to get in the photos a bit more often. With Mother's Day around the corner, it will be the perfect opportunity, and i can add more photos to my book.
I used premade chipboard covers, and cut the chipboard to fit inside. I used a photo of all three of my children on the first page. It is very rare that I get them all together, and was so happy to see this most recent one of them.
Then I created pages of each of my children, and the recurring word that kept popping into my head was "Lucky." I am so lucky to be their Mother, so I included this word underneath each of their photos. I also added their age that they are today.
I love using glassine bags in my mini albums. They are perfect for tucking in journaling, or extra photos. I love adding extra texture to them by running them through an embossing folder.
It is very rare that I will create something without turning to my embossing folders. They are so simple to use, and they add such beautiful detail.
Another item I love to use is vellum. Love that it adds an extra subtle layer. Right after my embossing folders, vellum is a close second!
After the photo of the individual photo, I added a small journaling pocket. Inside, I wrote down a few of their personality traits, and how special they make me feel to be their Mom.
I did add this to my other two children's pages, but forgot to include them as I was assembling my book. I made sure to hand write this information for each of them. I normally do not like my handwriting, but felt it was important that I include it in this mini book.
Today I still have a handwritten letter from my Mother, and I value it dearly. I felt it would be nice for my children to see my handwriting.
I think this will be one of my favorite mini albums to pull from the shelf and when I do I will count my blessings and reflect on how lucky I am to be the mother of these precious children.
I hope you enjoyed my mini today...and a Happy (early) Mother's Day to all of you

Hello everyone!
Today, I have a page to share with you using the new collection, On the Bright Side. I also used two of Towbow's products to complete my page. This page was used with their Stamp Runner Adhesive. If you have not used this new runner, you are going to love that it has dual applications! On one end, you will receive the tape runner function, which helps to adhere all your elements in place! On the other end, it is a stamper! Meaning that with a simple click, you will receive a perfect squre of dot pattern. This takes the place of using glue dots! One adhesive with two great functions!
I thought I changed it a bit, and create a page about my handsome boy! Love the On the bright side collection. Perfect colors to document the special boy in your life! Also, I think this collection, just might be perfect for upcoming Fourth of July projects, too!
Here are few details of my page:
In this cluster of embellishments, I put to use the stamper side of the runner. Underneath the bow of the twine, I stamped adhesive, so the bow would stay in place. Underneath the pins, I also used a bit of the stamped adhesive, too. The pins are pretty secured because they are pushed into pop dots, but extra adhesive never hurts!
Here I used the Towbow Dual Brush Pen in gray. Using the dual tip, I outlined the edges of the banner shape, and the word embellishment. It is very subtle, but does add a nice bit of detail to the embellishments.
Stamping is another great technique that you can achieve using Towbow's dual brush pens. I used Lost & Found's Breeze "Dream Stamps" to ink the banner image in the lower left hand corner. Loved using the markers to acheieve this subtle stamped image! They also have a fine tip on the other end, which I used to write the date of the photo.
Thank you for visiting the My Mind's Eye Blog, and I hope you will have a chance to play with Towbow's fabulous papercrafting products!

Hi, everyone! Suzanne here with a couple of scrapbook pages featuring My Mind's Eye's newest CHA releases.
First page features the gorgeous range from Miss Caroline All Dolled up. The colors are so vibrant, and soft at the same time. I love the blue woodgrain paper found on the "B" side of the Favorite paper. It was perfect with this sweet photo of Macie I took while at a wedding rehearsal.
These papers have a soft pink mixed with patterns that are perfect for the sweet girl in your life.
Here I used the butterflies paper along the bottom of my page. I used one of the dimensional butterfly stickers as an embellishment along the lace cardstock border. I wanted this page to have soft layers, so I included vellum. One of my favorite paper that I used every time I scrapbook. I also love the premade titles you will find in all of the collections. Makes the designing part come together quickly.
A new item found in the collection are the wood diecuts. This butterfly is called Living, and I simply coated it with acrylic paint in antique white. I held it in place on top of another vellum circle, and used it at the top of my journaling tag.
The next page features the Follow Your Heart Collection. I cannot tell you how much I love this line. You will find sophisticated images throughout every paper, and element. A must have this CHA!
This page also came together quickly. I used the blocks on this page to create individual stories of embellishments, and layers of paper.
Here I created a border with paper, and a chipboard border. Of course, a white doily seemed only fitting on this page. I layered it again on top of vellum, and embellished the center with a chipboard sunburst.
This collection is pure eye candy on every corner. The button embellishments are fabulous! Here you can see that I used portions of the patterned paper to "color" in the squares on the Be Happy 12x12 paper.
Thank you for stopping by today, and we cannot wait to see your creations with these new collections!

“New” Friends by Suzanne Sergi:
Featured Collection: Kraft Funday – Everyday Fun
We have had our dog Sammie for one year. Originally, he was the family dog. However, in a year's time, my oldest daughter, and Sammie have developed a "new" kind of friendship. They have now become inseparable, and he will literally sleep on her bed until she arrives home from school. I love seeing them together, and the new responsibilities my daughter has accepted with him. This page came together quickly for me, as I tried to adhere to the sketch. Instead of using large circles onto the page, I used them on a smaller scale. I love the Kraft Fun Day collection. The faint patterns, and bits of black really add subtle detail to your projects.
“NEW” School 2 by Anam Stubbington:
Text: December 2011 – we finally got a place for Fay at the school closest to our house. Hopefully this is the end of the moves for her.

Paper: ‘Good Times’, ‘Lemon Drop’, ‘Patchwork Party’, ‘Ferris Wheel’
Embellishments: Brads, Chipboard, Twine, Trims,
Extra: Thicker Alphabet

Happy Holidays!
Have you finished preparing for the Christmas festivities? I will admit, I still have quite a bit on my list to complete. However, I did find time for one last Christmas craft. My favorite time of year is here, and I love simply playing with Christmas paper. I love creating homemade tags, and simple home decor projects. Today, I have a set of three tiny wood houses all decorated with Lost & Found Christmas.
Last summer, I found these wood houses while in San Diego. After seeing images on Pinterest (via Melissa Phillips), I was reminded that I had something similar, tucked away. I was inspired to decorate mine with paper, and a little glitter.
These tiny wood houses measure about three inches, by two and half inches. So small, and perfect for adding a bit of holiday magic to your home. I have mine nestled on a cake plate, and are a part of the kitchen holiday decor. I covered them first with an antique white acrylic paint, and then used several papers from the Lost & Found Christmas. This collection has a vintage color palette, and added such a lovely charm to them.
Here is a peek at the houses individually:
I covered the outside with the music paper found in the 6x6 paper pad. I inked all the edges with a vintage brown ink. On top of this block I used an ornate chipboard frame, and nestled the Santa embellishement on top. The Santa Chipboard is found on the Glittered Accessory Chipboard Sheet. You will also find the cute banner chipboard element on there, too.
Here I used the Glittered Trees paper to cover this block. I added a few star elements, such as the star pin, and the gold glittered star. I finished this tiny house with a burgandy crinkled ribbon, and a brad from the Lost & Found Christmas Decorative Brads package.
On this final house, I added more of the glittered tinsel paper, and used a banner tag from the accessory sheet to wrap around the bottom. The tree nestled in the circle is also from the accessory sheet, and I simply cut the tree away from the tag. The Be Merry banner strip is also from the decorative brad package.
A peek at the side of the houses that I covered with spray adhesive, and sprinkled with snow glitter. What is Christmas without a bit of snow?
I hope you can find the time for that last Christmas craft, and I wish you a very Merry Christmas!
We will send one lucky winner our 12 Days of Christmas collection! Leave a comment on this post by midnight, December 25, 2011 to be entered to WIN!

Happy Tuesday!
I was thrilled to received the new collections, and could not wait to create with the new Kraft Fun Day! I love the combination of kraft, and black together. I have so many photos from a birthday party my youngest daughter attended. This collection is perfect for them!
On this page I used the new Happy Day, and the Everyday Fun stamps to add a bit of inking to the page. I am in love with the dot border. It added a fun texture to this page, and added a bit more color onto the page.
I created a banner border using one of the stamps on top of a strip of vellum. After I stamped it, it was a bit harsh for the page. I tried stamping off first, but it still seemed too stark. My solution was to simply turn the strip over, and it was perfect. I finished it with a sweet sentiment on the bottom. One thing you will find on the stamps, are wonderful sentiments for cards, too. Also in the border strip package, you will find lovely felt borders, such as the scallop one in the above photo.
Here, I tucked in a piece of stitched vellum that I had leftover from a mini album project. I thought it added some fun texture to the side of the photo.
Finally, a detail of the large chipboard tag found in the Everyday Fun Chipboard elements. I layered patterned paper over the tag. Finished it with a circle of vellum, and a fun chipboard pinwheel!
I definitely see lots of future projects with this collection! We would love to see what you create with it, too! Enjoy the rest of the day!
