Good morning! Danni here with you today to share a project for the countdown to Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is such a special time of year, a time to reflect, a time to express gratitude and time to share blessings.
In our family, we take being "thankful" literally and in a fun way. For the week leading up to Thanksgiving, we set out a "thankful jar" and envelope full of leaves to list things that you are thankful for.
Each day, we take out one leaf and write something we
are thankful for and then curl it up so as to be "leaf shaped" and place
it in the jar. On Thanksgiving we read the thankful leaves and try
to guess who was thankful for that leaf. A fun little game and a
wonderful reminder of every big and small blessing in each of our lives
at this time.
I chose to create my jar and leaves with the
gorgeous palette and designs in the Lost and Found 3 Oliver line. It is
filled with gorgeous yellows, sky blues and greys and the patterns are
sublime. I love the softness of the jar without the required reds,
browns and yellows.
The doily stickers are perfect for the top
of the jar...just stitch a little embellishment and adhere to the doily
sticker!
This is an activity that every member of my family loves. I hope you enjoy this tradition and that some of you will incorporate in into your November!
